Time to Renew Your Registration?

To legally drive a vehicle in New South Wales, it needs to be deemed roadworthy. At Warners Tyre & Mechanical, we are your Authorised Registration Inspection Station. We perform full E-Safety Checks and register your vehicle through the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS). That allows you to renew your rego by phone or online.

If your vehicle is more than five years old, registration renewal might require a safety inspection. We provide inspection reports for all types of vehicles, including LPG ones.

Our expert technicians can inspect your vehicle in our workshop, which is an Authorised Inspection Station.

Please give us a call to book your inspection report, and don’t forget to bring your registration papers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use short-term registration for my vehicle?

The Roads and Maritime Services of South New Wales indicate that you can use a three-month short-term registration for trailers and heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes, and six-month registration for heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes, and most light vehicles under 4.5 tonnes.

I recently purchased a vehicle. Do I need to transfer the Rego to my name?

Yes, if you purchased a vehicle, the law requires you to transfer the Rego to your name.

Can I drive an unregistered car?

It is illegal to drive an unregistered car in New South Wales. Not only are the fines harsh, but you are also not covered by insurance. If an accident happens, you might end up being the one paying all the damage and that can be a costly investment.
